Crivitz Restaurants and Groceries Printer Friendly Version

(#11) Thunder Mountain Valley Inn has the best fish fry in the world and other meals. This place, as well as most others, is primarily a bar.

(#10) Peshtigo River Resort (aka The Mickey Mouse Club - ask Kurt) has all you can eat chicken on Saturday night that is absolutely excellent. Fish Fry is good. Good burgers and fries. Full service menu. Cocktails.

(#12) Dock Side (our Saturday night Kareoke stop) has great burgers (quarter, half, and full pound!). No fries but great side dishes such as pizza fries. Very, very good soups (beer/cheese soup!) and chili. Cocktails. This is a popular Saturday lunch stop for many of us.

(#13) Tommy's Corner Pub (our Friday night meeting place) has typical bar pizza, hot sandwiches, burgers, and a Friday Fish Fry.  The food is very good. Tommy's is primarily a bar.

(#5) Bublitz's Newton Lake Lodge has very good food. Cocktails.

(#8) Rene's (Popp's Resort) has very good steaks and seafood at reasonable prices. Salad bar included with meal. Cocktails.

(#14) Sportsman's Cafe is just a diner and has good food and a great breakfast for the morning after.

(#15) County Inn has very good food from sandwiches to a complete meal. Salad bar with meals or as a separate purchase.

(#4) Thornton's Resort has food. It's been awhile since Kurt's eaten there but remembers the food being good. Cocktails.

(#22) Hillside Golf Course has good dinners at very good prices and the best "salad cart" Kurt's ever had.

Groceries

(#16) Witt's Piggly Wiggly is located on Highway 141 just south of Highway A as you enter Crivitz. A large store even by Milwaukee standards with good prices.

(#17) Pelican's Market is located on Highway A shortly after the railroad tracks. Good meats. Not as large a grocery selection as Witt's.

(#18) Country Convenience is located just south of Tommy's (#13) on Highway X.  For a convenience store, it has a decent selection and OK prices. Excellent fresh bakery and fresh deli subs and sandwiches.  Decent beer, soda, and liquor selection. Bait. Gas.

(#19) Tall Oaks convenience store is located just south of the Hilltop Resort (#7) and just north of where Highway X intersects with Parkway Rd. Decent selection and prices. Bait. Gas.
