12th Annual Alpha Kappa Psi Alumni/Student Weekend in Crivitz, WI August 4 - 6, 2006 This event began back in the mid- to late-80s as the Alumni Picnic. In 1994, Kurt Klumb, Delta Phi's faculty advisor, suggested that the alumni and students trek up to Crivitz, Wisconsin, where his family owns a cottage, for a weekend. A few people made the journey and had an enjoyable weekend. The following year found 7 people making the trip - no alumni, just students. The third year saw about 13 - including 1 or 2 alumni; the fourth year about 20 with the alumni and student contingents pretty well-balanced; and since then we've numbered in the mid-40s including friends and family. Activities include swimming, water skiing, tubing, fishing, kayaking, bon fires, food, drink, kareoke, golf, games - cards, dominoes, pool, darts . . . whatever floats your boat (pun intended). Accomodations range from motels to privately-owned or rented cottages to camping at the choosing of the individuals. Use the navigation at the left to find the information you'll need to make this a memorable weekend. Though Kurt is no longer with us in body, he is in spirit. So we continue the tradition of this is a relaxing bonding weekend. Use it to make new friends. Don't just hang with your normal posse. Expand your circle of friends! | ||||||
