Q: How do I join the City of Festivals Alumni Chapter?

A: Attend a member meeting and pay your dues, the executive board will verify your information and approve your membership. You can join at any time.

Q: What benefits can I expect by joining the AKPsi City of Festivals Alumni Chapter?

A: The COF alumni Chapter offers professional networking with other working professionals, professional and social events, as well as the satisfaction of supporting student chapters of AKPsi.

Q: Can my significant other/spouse join the City of Festivals Chapter?

A: Yes significant others & spouses can join the City of Festivals Alumni Chapter but will not have voting privileges. For more information, please see Family Member Resolution.

Q: Can my significant other/spouse attend events without being a member?

A: Yes, with the exception of official meetings of the chapter, significant others are welcome at all events. Please understand that any guests brought by members will be asked to reimburse the Chapter for all costs incurred on their behalf.

Q: When/where is the next chapter meeting?

A: Check the cityoffestivalsalumni.org homepage or calendar for current member meeting and event information.

Q: What is the City of Festivals Alumni Chapter's affiliation with the AKPsi National Fraternity?

A: The City of Festivals Alumni Chapter is nationally recognized and supported by AKPsi and the AKPsi national fraternity.

Q: How can I obtain a username and password to access additional information on the website?

A: All dues paying members in good standing will be granted a username and password by the webmaster. If you believe you are a dues paying member in good standing and you do not have a username and/or password please contact a member of the executive board (eboard@cityoffestivalsalumni.org).

Q: What is the Yahoo! Group and how can I access it?

A: The Yahoo! group is currently being used as a supplement to the official City of Festivals Alumni Chapter for information sharing purposes only. The information on this website can only be accessed by dues paying members in good standing. If you believe you are a dues paying member in good standing would like access to this information, please contact a member of the executive board (eboard@cityoffestivalsalumni.org).

Q: How much are the dues?

A: Dues are $40 for a single membership and $50 for a couple. Dues are based on a calendar year and are prorated based on when you join. There is no initiation or joining fee in addition to the annual dues amount quoted above.

Q: How do I pay my dues?

A: Dues payments should be given to the current treasurer (see members page) or mailed to the chapter address located on the How to Join web page.

Q: How are my dues spent by the City of Festivals Alumni Chapter?

A: Dues collected by the City of Festivals Alumni Chapter are used to pay for the cost of maintaining the website, the e-mail reflectors, our P.O. Box, recruiting, and other general expenses. Dues are also used to pay or supplement the cost of various events hosted (jointly or in part) by the COF alumni.

Q: Why are e-mails from the City of Festivals Alumni Chapter going to my Yahoo! bulk mail folder, and how can I correct this problem?

A: To correct this problem, follow these steps:
1) Login into your Yahoo! mail account
2) Click on options (top right)
3) Click on Filters
4) Click add
5) Create a name for your filter (e.g. AKPsi e-mails)
6) In the To/cc header drop down box, select contains
7) In the box to the right of the To/cc head drop down box type "@cityoffestivalsalumni.org"
8) From the move messages to drop down box, select inbox

For most other email programs the problem will be resolved by adding the chapter email addresses to your email program's address book. For additional assistance, contact webmaster@cityoffestivalsalumni.org.

Q: How can I find out more information about the City of Festivals Foundation?

A: Please direct all foundation related questions to foundation_board@cityoffestivalsalumni.org.

Q: Where can I send my tax-deductible contribution for the City of Festivals Foundation?

A: The foundation mailing address is located on the "How to Join " web page.
