Chapter History

In Fall 1998, several seniors of the Delta Phi (student) Chapter were concerned that after graduation the next May, they would leave the student chapter and have no way of actively participating in the brotherhood of Alpha Kappa Psi.

These seniors acquired a database of all known current and past members of the Delta Phi Chapter from Alpha Kappa Psi National Headquarters. They split up the list of approximately 800 names and began to phone each name on their respective lists. After compiling an updated list of names and addresses, the group began to send out a series of newsletters to all of the brothers, gradually updating the list.

The first meeting of the Southeastern Wisconsin "City of Festivals" Alumni Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi was held on July 7, 1999. The chapter began meeting bi-monthly on the first Wednesday of the month July through September. The chapter currently meets at 7:00pm (CST and CDT) the first Thursday of every month (except July) in the Student Union of the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee Room 340 .

The chapter operates a mentorship program partnering alumni brothers with student brothers. A scholarship program  is also in effect that is available to students and alumni.
